When Little Feels Like Not Enough

This morning, as I sat with my Bible open to 2 Kings 4, I was struck anew by the stories of Elisha—how he multiplied the widow’s oil and again, bread for a hundred men. My heart remembered Jesus feeding five thousand with only five loaves and two fish. I thought about how, again and again, God takes what is small, overlooked, even deemed insignificant—and makes it more than enough.

From Abraham’s one child to the nation of Israel, to the early church expanding from a handful of fearful disciples into a global movement, God specializes in multiplication.

And yet—I often feel so small.

Feeling Small Doesn’t Mean You Are

I don’t come from influence. I wasn’t voted “most likely to succeed.” I’ve made my share of messes. And sometimes I wonder: who am I to write these blog posts? Who am I to start a community, to challenge the status quo, to dream of LGBTQ+ people being welcomed in the Church?

But here’s the truth: being small is never a problem for God.

He isn’t looking for the strong or the well-connected. He’s looking for the surrendered. He’s looking for the ones willing to bring their “not enough” and trust Him to multiply it.

The Miracle of Multiplication Starts with Offering What You Have

When All R Called first began, it felt like a whisper. A tiny seed. A few voices daring to say, “I am gay. I am Christian. I still love Jesus.” It felt like nothing. But God saw something.

In June, we watched God move. We saw people added to our number—new members, readers, interactions, and encouragement. We saw a glimpse of what’s possible when we show up with our loaves and fishes, even if we think it’s not enough.

But we’re not done. In fact, we’re just getting started.

I am dreaming—trusting—for a vibrant community of LGBTQ+ Christians who worship boldly, love deeply, and build each other up. I hope for a space where the lonely find connection, where broken hearts find healing, where worship rises freely from queer lips. One day, maybe even churches planted and missionaries sent out, bearing the banner of God’s love to the ends of the earth.

What Is In Your Hands?

You might be like me—feeling small, unsure, wondering if your story, your gifts, your presence even matters. But what if God is simply asking you to bring what’s in your hands?

What are your five loaves and two fish?

Maybe it’s your story.
Your voice.
Your art.
Your financial support.
Your presence in a community that longs to believe God hasn’t forgotten them.

God wants to multiply what you have—for His Kingdom.

Trust God with Your Little

Maybe all you have today is a mustard seed of faith. Maybe it’s a longing for connection. Maybe it’s a skill, or a donation, or a willingness to be seen. Offer it. Surrender it.

God is faithful to multiply what we lay at His feet.

We are not nobodies. We are called, chosen, and cherished. Together, we are building a community where love multiplies, grace abounds, and every voice matters.

Let us trust God to multiply our offering—for His glory and for the healing of His Church.
